The DSP (Direct Support Professional) is responsible for providing direct support, hands‑on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, ensuring their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals.
Our live‑in model allows for structure in an individual's home environment. The DSP will live in the individual's home during the 7 days on schedule and will be paid for 16 hours a day (minus any unpaid break time). Live‑in DSPs work approximately two weeks per month and earn full‑time pay plus overtime. Bi‑weekly compensation covers 105 hours, with 25 hours paid at a rate of time and a half.
DSPs are also paid for any interrupted sleep time, where applicable. A weekly food budget is provided during the week on, and there is one 7‑hour break during the scheduled shift.
All off time must be spent off location; the individual's home cannot be your primary residence.
