Clinical Research Assistant – Department of Psychiatry, US-OR-Portland
Posting Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience, education and internal equity. Minimum: $48,214;
Midpoint: $58,448;
Maximum: $68,682

The position is based at the Marquam Hill Campus with occasional flexibility for remote work depending on study priorities. Posting
Hours:
This is a full-time position that requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Some local travel required.
- Interact with study participants via email, phone/video calls, and in-person visits to determine study eligibility and collect study data.
- Perform detail-oriented computer work, including participant scheduling, data entry, data quality checks, and data management.
- Support project-related administrative tasks, including data entry and export, maintaining study databases, organizing study materials, and conducting basic data summaries.
- Assist with general office duties in service of the study goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science field or AA (2-year) degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in human subjects research related to substance use or mental health.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with adolescents and young adults in a professional, respectful, and engaging manner.
- Ability to complete accurate documentation, data entry, and basic data processing tasks.
- Preference for applicants with a degree in behavioral science field or with advanced degrees.
- Preference for applicants with neuroimaging experience.
- Knowledge of human subjects research procedures, confidentiality requirements, and study protocol adherence.
- Knowledge of brain imaging methods and related software packages (e.g., FSL, AFNI, SPM) preferred.
- Proficiency with data management tools (REDCap, Microsoft Office, Excel) and statistical software (R, SPSS).
