Position OverviewWe are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who is passionate about patient care and eager to grow with us. This role offers flexible scheduling, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time work.
You will work closely with patients to support their recovery, independence, and functional goals through individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide therapy services in assisted living and home health settings
- Assist patients with exercises and daily functional tasks, ensuring safety and proper form
- Motivate and encourage patients through recovery and major life changes
- Review and administer individualized treatment plans
- Observe, assess, and document patient progress accurately
- Communicate effectively with clinical and non‑clinical staff
- Assist patients using support devices (walker, cane, wheelchair)
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
- Adapt to changing patient needs and prioritize multiple tasks
- Valid Indiana Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Specialized skills a plus:
- Ergonomics
- Blind/visual rehabilitation and assistive technology
- Functional capacity evaluations
- Geriatrics
- Driver rehabilitation and home-based primary care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive, nurturing environment
- Evidence of annual TB test and other state-required screenings
