PositionSummary
This is an exciting opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to excel in a complex, team‑oriented environment while working from home. The Non‑Clinical Divert technician is responsible for screening orders, specializing in research, review, and entry of prescription overrides. You will be essential to ensure patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner and direct questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification.
You will be expected to meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team.
Hours vary per state operating hours; shifts are Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays (subject to change). Overtime/extended work weeks will be required when needed.
Required Qualifications- Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where the applicant resides.
- Arizona requires an active state technician license.
- Florida requires an active state technician license.
- Idaho requires an active state technician license and national certification.
- Illinois requires an active state technician license and national certification (IL must be marked certified on state Illinois license).
- Pennsylvania requires an active state technician license.
- Texas requires an active state technician license and national certification.
- Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas.
- A secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic‑friendly work area (i.e., desk, chair).
- Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment.
- Data entry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs.
- Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
- Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 mbs download and 3 mbs upload. Wi‑Fi and satellite are not permitted.
- Secure and private home workspace free from distractions.
- Has an active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
- Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience.
- Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures.
- Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescription medications and able to write routing correspondence.
- Recognizing, identifying, and having general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This includes the ability to calculate dosages and day‑supply prescriptions.
- Ability to work using computer screens for extended periods of time.
- Proficient in troubleshooting computer issues.
- High school diploma or GED.

Time Type: Full time
Pay Range: $17.00 – $31.30 per hour. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
