FLSA: 1.0 FTE, Non-Exempt (Expectation to work 40 hours a week) Wed-Sat from 8am-7pm
Supervisor: SUD Crisis Supervisor, Regional Crisis Supervisor
Pay Grade: B8 ($25.19 - $36.97 hourly, depending on experience)
$5,500 HIRING BONUS!! (2 year Commitment, Staggered-taxed Payout)

Supervised by the SUD Crisis Supervisor. Does not supervise other employees.
Responsibilities- Engages community stakeholders as part of a 24-hour crisis response team and responds expeditiously to contacts from community members, law enforcement, first responders, and other agencies, including local hospitals.
- Performs comprehensive alcohol and drug evaluation, screening, assessment, treatment planning, and referrals in various settings such as community, office, telehealth, and mobile response van.
- Works with QMHPs, CADCs, and peers in a two-person team to engage clients in the community and at office locations.
- Establishes short-term goals with clients, provides follow-up services as needed, and makes appropriate and expeditious referrals. Arranges temporary or emergency placement as necessary.
- Assimilates data from a wide range of observations and uses various clinical techniques and skills to gather the client’s personal, family, health, and mental health history.
- Utilizes agency software and computer systems to prepare current client records and reports, completing all paperwork professionally, clinically sound, and timely.
- Thoroughly screens referrals to assure proper utilization of Mobile Crisis services and appropriate referrals to inpatient/outpatient services.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of community services and resources, encouraging clients to access them. Acts as a liaison between clients and other agencies and as a client advocate when appropriate.
- Performs screening, assessment, joint case, transition, discharge, and safety planning and coordination with clients and other community agencies.
- Works non-traditional hours, covering call-offs when feasible. Some shifts may provide after-hours emergency services on a 24-hour rotating basis to adults and children.
- Participates in group and individual supervision sessions.
- Collaborates with staff and community representatives to initiate new programs and reviews existing programs as necessary.
- Attends trainings, meetings, conferences, and uses the gathered information to benefit the agency and customers.
- Transports clients as required.
- Reports all abuse to appropriate legal office, completes necessary paperwork and investigations, and develops safety plans as required.

Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- able to pass a criminal history background check.
- CADC R, I or II preferred but not required. If not registered or certified, must register upon employment and be certified within 2 years.
- Substance use disorder recovery documented for continuous recovery under independent living conditions or supported housing for the past two years.
- Experience or knowledge of behavioral health/chemical dependency systems or crisis response preferred but not required.
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification (CADC R, I or II)
- QMHA not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Understands or can understand special needs and symptoms of patients with co-occurring disorders and applies appropriate assessment and intervention techniques.
- Has skills to work professionally with the public and coordinate services across agencies and community groups.
- Effectively communicates verbally and in writing, works independently, and completes responsibilities thoroughly and timely.
- Develops cooperative and respectful relationships with clients, their families, and providers.
- Possesses the ability to acquire knowledge of the recovery model.
- Represents the interest of the customer and the agency favorably in the community.
- Works well with teams and other groups of individuals.
- Computer literate, able to type and utilize word processing and other software programs.
- Handles highly confidential information, adhering to client confidentiality laws and rules.
- Travels to various assigned locations as required.
