We are currently looking to fill a Client Engagement Specialist role at our Merrionette Park
Center
.

Salary
  • The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $45,000 and $49,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.
  • Final salary will be determined based on years of experience, licensure level, and relevant credentials.

$2,500 Sign-on Bonus for first-time employees with MFS! ($1,250 on the first paycheck and $1,250 after 6 months of employment).

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist in conducting IM+CANS assessments and implementing treatment plans. Perform open access as assigned.
  • Provide case management, support financial budgeting, assist with public benefits (Social Security, Medicaid), counseling, advocacy, health education, and community support services.
  • Identify practical barriers like housing instability, lack of transportation, or food insecurity that prevent clients from attending appointments.
  • Learn and utilize agency and community resources.
  • Assess community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, and skills training.
  • Respond to client and family needs outside of scheduled sessions, including during crises.
  • Work with multidisciplinary professionals and community agencies to provide a continuum of coordinated care to meet the complex needs of clients.
  • Coordinate care with family members, internal providers (medical, dental, SA/DV), and external partners such as schools, DCFS, hospitals, and community organizations.
  • May serve on regional or agency-wide committees.
  • Meet agency expectations for quantity of direct service and maintain quality and fidelity to evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain timely and accurate client records and any necessary agency and CCBHC required reporting.
  • Participate in agency and site-based required meetings and trainings.
  • Work effectively with diverse staff and service population.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires mobility to work with a community-based caseload.
  • Ability to maintain assigned community and home-based services.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or a bachelor’s degree in any field with two years of documented experience in a mental health setting, required.
  • Must obtain and maintain IM+CANS certification, required.
  • Eligibility for, or possession of, the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential, preferred.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or experience working with clients experiencing substance use, preferred.
  • IM+CANS certification, preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks.
  • Schedule will include some evenings, weekends, and possible on-call.
Transportation/Travel Requirements
  • Driving for work required. Transportation of clients preferred in a personally owned vehicle.
Physical Demands

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
