Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our billing team. You will focus entirely on Orthopedics and Spine specialties. This position is 100% remote but must be in Florida and have a private, HIPAA complaint home office space with high-speed internet. You must have deep experience using eClinical
Works (eCW). You must also understand the complex billing rules for spine surgeries and orthopedic care.
- Claim Submission:
Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically. - Coding Verification:
Review ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for orthopedic and spine surgeries. - Denial Management:
Identify denial patterns, file appeals, and resolve claim discrepancies. - AR Follow-Up:
Monitor accounts receivable reports and pursue unpaid claims past 30 days.
- Location:
Must currently reside in the state of Florida. - Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience specifically in Orthopedics and Spine. - Software:
Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience using eClinical
Works (eCW). - Surgical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of complex spine surgery coding, global periods, and modifiers (e.g., modifiers 51, 59, 62). - Workspace: A dedicated, quiet home office with high-speed internet.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Workers' Comp, and Personal Injury Protection (PIP).
- Strong communication skills to speak with insurance adjusters.
- High accuracy in data entry and strong attention to detail.
