Located in Ann Arbor, the Rogel Cancer Center supports patients across the full cancer care continuum, including diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. We are seeking compassionate, team-oriented individuals committed to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families navigating cancer care, while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for staff.

Provides patient intake and prepares patients for exams, visits, and procedures while ensuring excellent customer service and efficient patient flow. Responsibilities include information gathering, direct patient care, data entry, medication administration, provider support, patient follow-up, and prescription management. Additional duties include taking vital signs, administering injections, performing EKGs, assisting with basic diagnostic tests and procedures, collecting specimens, maintaining and sterilizing equipment, stocking supplies, preparing exam rooms, and completing related administrative tasks.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR current enrollment in, or completion of coursework in a healthcare professional program (e.g., medical school, PA program, nursing program, or related clinical training)
  OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (1 - 3 years).
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care, and basic medical terminology.

• Graduation from a medical assistant diploma program or an equivalent combination of education and experience (1 - 3 years).
• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA)

Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

Full Time hours, 40 hours per week

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
