There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you'll perform high‑quality MRI scans across multiple sites, gaining experience with a variety of MRI scanners while partnering with diverse care teams. This is a full‑time position working in Burnsville, Lakeville, and Eagan; day and evening shifts; includes weekend rotation (no call).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.

Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, positioning patients appropriately for scanning.

Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, providing patient support throughout the procedure.

Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.

Follows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitized equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.

Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use.

Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.

(5%) MRI Department Support

Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma, or equivalent.
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations and business need.
Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
Certification in imaging specialty.
