RAYUS Radiology is looking for a PET/CT Technologist to join our team. The role involves operating PET/CT scanners to generate diagnostic images while providing a patient‑centered experience.
This is a part‑time position working approximately 35 hours per week; shifts are 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Screens patients before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to confirm identity and procedure.
- Explains and prepares patients for PET/CT imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately.
- Performs routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision, providing support throughout the process.
- Adjusts scan parameters correctly, using dose‑reduction techniques when appropriate.
- Makes a positive contribution to teamwork with radiologists, referring clinicians, and peers.
- Follows physicians’ orders precisely while complying with safety regulations.
- Accurately maintains patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintains an orderly, clean work area, promoting safety habits.
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects after each use.
- Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Assesses, prepares, records, and administers radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state regulations.
- Administers 6‑fluoro‑deoxy‑glucose (FDG) via intravenous methods to patients.
- Demonstrates safe work behaviors to maintain a safe environment.
- Reports contamination to the Radiation Safety Officer.
- Assists with updating the imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resources and technical expertise.
- Performs and records daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control procedures on PET/CT equipment to ensure compliance with ACR and AOA guidelines.
- Performs daily and weekly departmental surveys to ensure compliance with radiation standards and state regulations.
Completes other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS Required- NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- Licensed radiological technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform PET/CT procedures independently.
- Certification in an imaging specialty.
- ARRT certification in CT.
- NMTCB PET Specialty certification.
