Description
TEKsystems is hiring several Patient Access Specialists for a large healthcare company in Overland Park, KS. This role supports the rapidly growing team by assessing patients’ needs, resolving issues, and triaging information appropriately. The key responsibilities include introducing patients to Shared Solutions services, conducting benefits investigations, and coordinating prescriptions with a Specialty Pharmacy.
Responsibilities- Data entry and accurate account creation.
- Provide customer service support to overflow help for other teams.
- Update patient information in accounts sourced from Med Billers.
- Remove patient access barriers and identify appropriate resources as needed.
- Coordinate prescription workflows with Specialty Pharmacy partners.
- Strong, accurate data entry skills.
- Previous work experience in Specialty Pharmacy or Customer Service preferred.
- Professional level computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, web‑based applications, and keyboard proficiency.
- Experience working with people in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive situations, solving problems, making decisions, and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong ability to multi‑task with strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to function in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to accept and implement feedback and coaching.
- Experience working with databases (CRM preferable) or a tracking system;
Salesforce CRM experience. - Experience working in a healthcare/pharmaceutical industry environment.
- Understanding of challenges associated with patients’ medical conditions.
