Overview
Anew Health’s Patient Engagement Center of Excellence is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians to provide exceptional phone‑based support to Exact Care patients. The role requires a mix of inbound and outbound call handling, medication profile management, claim adjudication, and collaboration with clinical staff, all within a fast‑paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide an exceptional customer service experience in a phone‑based environment.
- Answer high volumes of inbound calls from current patients and act as an Exact Care expert.
- Place outbound calls to patients to create, maintain, or update medication profiles.
- Assist patients with medication questions over the phone.
- Work through current case queues to resolve patient care issues.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on patients’ behalf.
- Perform claim adjudication and auditing duties including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks.
- Collect patient balances when an amount due exists.
- Maintain patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Receive prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers using sound drug knowledge.
- Retrieve and verify prescription information, including verification through doctor calls.
- Enter a high volume of data and process prescription information with speed and accuracy.
- Place welcome calls to newly onboarded patients and establish a trusted point of contact.
- Partner with technicians and pharmacists to ensure successful onboarding of new patients to Exact Care.
- Operate efficiently in a high volume, fast‑paced environment to support Exact Care’s nationwide patient base.

Education
High school diploma or GED. Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certificate. Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
Experience
Must be 18+ years of age with prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
Skills & Abilities
- Comfortable working in a phone‑based environment.
- Ability to work independently, self‑motivated, and goal oriented.
- Exceptional customer service skills, servicing doctors’ offices, pharmacists, and patients over the phone.
- Thorough drug knowledge and pharmacy billing knowledge.
- Knowledge of processes for taking prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers with clear written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with computer equipment, technology, and multiple software programs for medication authorizations, clarifications, and transfers.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Passionate about helping people and enriching lives.
- Ability to overcome objections and think critically.
- Document pertinent details in a world‑class manner that is compliant with state and federal regulations.
Administrative duties requiring hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within the assigned territory. May be required to work extended hours as needed.
Schedule & LocationThis is a full‑time remote position with an expectation of 40 hours per week and occasional availability outside normal business hours on an ad‑hoc basis.
