Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring a Flexi/PRN Certified Surgical Technologist for day shift in our Outpatient Surgery Center in Charlottesville, VA.

Charlottesville, VA – First (Days) shift, Monday to Friday 7:00‑15:00.

The Outpatient Surgery Center at Pantops offers high‑quality care within a collaborative environment that includes registered nurses, surgical techs, sterile services, and support staff, overseen by an experienced management team. The center features a dedicated admit‑recovery and post‑anesthesia care unit (PACU) and four operating rooms that provide orthopedic procedures and a broad range of services such as breast, gynecology, plastics, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, and pediatrics.

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team throughout procedures by passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and anticipating the surgeon’s needs.
• Assist in applying dressings, securing surgical drapes, and transferring patients to recovery areas.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and sterile techniques to ensure patient safety.

• Trade school graduate – Surgical Technologist (required).
• Licensed Surgical Technologist – Virginia (required).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT) (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).

• Operating room experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient‑safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills with providers and surgical staff.
