Physical Therapist - TGH Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation - (260002NB)

Provides individualized treatment programs to support patients with cognitive and physical disabilities toward functional independence. Care is guided by APTA standards and is age-appropriate, patient-centered and aligned with Tampa General Hospital mission.

• Evaluates patients, plans care, provides treatment, assesses progress, adjusts goals and treatment plans, and makes discharge recommendations per APTA guidelines.
• Considers age and developmental level of patients in all aspects of care.
• Demonstrates current knowledge and expertise in patient care.
• Responds to new evaluations within the specific timeframe stated in Policies and Procedures for various areas of work.
• Remains alert to changes in patients’ conditions and the work environment, responding appropriately.
• Documents patient care, education, and response accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Ensures all patient care goals are measurable and include a specific timeframe for attainment.
• Plans, provides, and maintains a safe environment for patients, staff, and families.

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong foundation in clinical skills, patient-centered care and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working with patients with neurological impairments.
• Board Certified or willing to work toward board certification (preferred).
