Medical Coding - Remote

Adecco Healthcare is working with our client based in Newport Beach, CA to hire a  
** Remote Certified Medical Coder.
** Hours will be Pacific Standard Time.

** Monday - Friday - PST time

** Type:
** 3-month contract -  _MAY_  be extended

** Remote

** Pay Range:**         $35-$39 - DOE

** Certification

Required:

** Yes!  
** _Must_
* * have one of the following certifications:

+ Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)

* Responsibilities Include:

*
* + Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM codes to support diagnoses, procedures and treatment results

+ Verify that all ICD-10-CM codes are correctly captured

+ Verify that physician is correctly abstracted

+ Stay on-top-of coding guidelines by self-study, assigned education, meeting attendance or other related in-services

+ Perform other duties as assigned

** Requirements Include:*
* + HS Diploma or GED

+  
** _MUST_
* * have a minimum of 2 years coding experience

+  
** _MUST_
* * have OB/Gyn coding experience

+ Preference given to candidates with experience in multiple specialties

+ Clear, compassionate, and professional verbal communication

+ Ability to interact with others through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.

** Pay Details:**  $37.00 to $39.00 per hour
