Step into an engaging opportunity supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in elementary school-aged children. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to make a meaningful impact with a manageable caseload of approximately 80 students. The role is based near Gloucester, VA and offers both onsite and potential virtual teletherapy (VOCO) opportunities, appealing to professionals seeking either in-person or remote work environments.

Applicants should hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and have school-based or pediatric experience. If you are skilled in providing therapeutic services within a healthcare or educational setting, your expertise will help students develop communication abilities and succeed in the classroom.

Qualifications:
  • Current SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience with pediatric and/or school-aged caseloads
  • Knowledge of assessments, diagnostics, and individualized therapy planning
  • Proficiency in teletherapy platforms preferred but not required
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience or willingness to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Comfortable managing groups of up to 80 students
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students
  • Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff
  • Maintain documentation and progress reports

    Potentially supervise and support an SLPA
  • Ensure compliance with school and federal guidelines
