Role Description This part-time Couples / Family Therapist (LMFT / LAMFT / LCSW) role is hybrid, based in Maplewood, NJ, with a combination of in-person sessions and Telehealth work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing evidence-informed therapy to couples and families, conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining clear and timely documentation. The therapist will manage a caseload focused on relationship and family issues, including multicultural and LGBTQ+ concerns, while collaborating with the clinical supervisor and /or mentor as needed.
The schedule emphasizes flexible evening and weekend hours to meet client needs, with a strong focus on high-quality, client-centered care and professional ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Family Therapy and Psychology, with a focus on couples, marriage, and relationship counseling.
- Strong grounding in Mental Health assessment and treatment, including the ability to identify and address co-occurring emotional or behavioral concerns.
- Experience with Case Management, including coordinating care, monitoring progress, and maintaining organized and compliant clinical records.
- Background in or openness to Clinical Supervision, either receiving supervision (for pre-licensure or early-career practitioners) or providing it to others, as appropriate.
- Active NJ license as LMFT, LAMFT, LCSW, or equivalent;
Telehealth credentialing eligibility in New Jersey. - Commitment to culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and trauma-informed practice.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with comfort using Telehealth and electronic practice tools.
- Ability to work independently in a small practice setting, maintain professional boundaries, and reliably offer evening and weekend availability.
