The Sr. Program Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boston, MA, with a combination of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. This role coordinates and oversees complex program activities, including scheduling, logistics, and operational support for initiatives within the hospital or departmental programs. The Sr. Program Coordinator will track project timelines and deliverables, manage documentation, prepare reports and presentations, and maintain accurate records to support strategic program goals.
Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries, supporting events and meetings, and assisting with development and implementation of new processes to improve program efficiency. The role collaborates closely with clinicians, researchers, administrators, and trainees to ensure smooth program operations aligned with BWH standards of quality, safety, and excellence.
- Demonstrated Program Management and Program Development skills to plan, implement, monitor, and enhance complex hospital or departmental programs.
- Strong Project Management abilities, including organizing tasks, managing timelines, coordinating resources, and tracking progress across multiple initiatives.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with multidisciplinary teams, prepare clear documentation, and present information to diverse audiences.
- Solid Customer Service skills to provide responsive, respectful support to patients, staff, and external partners, and to resolve issues professionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as health administration, public health, business, or a related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, databases, virtual meeting platforms) and comfort working in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.
- Experience in a healthcare, academic medical center, or research setting is highly beneficial; familiarity with quality and safety initiatives is a plus.
