Catarsys Family Counseling is looking for a compassionate and driven Associate Mental Health Therapist to join our growing team in La Mirada, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to build your clinical career in a supportive environment where meaningful client connections and professional growth go hand in hand.
Responsibilities:- Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to a diverse caseload of clients
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, client-centered care
- Participate in regular clinical supervision to support licensure hours and professional development
- Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR or trauma-informed approaches
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, or related field
- Active AMFT, ACSW, or APCC registration with the California BBS
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or families preferred
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and treatment planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Empathetic, culturally competent, and client-focused approach to care
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
