The Vermont Department of Health wants you to come join our group of public health professionals at the Springfield District Office! We are seeking a bright, energetic, dedicated, well-organized public health professional with great listening and communication skills to join our growing team.

The Public Health Specialist (Chronic Disease) supports local health department efforts to improve health outcomes of Vermont residents across the 15 towns of the Springfield District. The focus of this position will be on systems-level work and engagement with community partners to improve the health of populations experiencing the greatest disparities. Priority areas you will be working in are as such: improving chronic disease health outcomes related to oral health, tobacco prevention and cessation, improving access to preventative care, and more.

Ideal candidates should understand the root causes of health inequities and have familiarity with initiating and maintaining deliberate collaboration across sectors, especially with non-traditional partners.
