Overview:

Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team in a full-time, Evening Shift position.

Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates!

Hours Wednesday
- Friday: 11am - 11:30pmRotating Call and Holiday Schedule Overview Performs  general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files. Performs patient MRI exam per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation, examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

Education Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience

Certification/LicensureCNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required)
Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hireBLSExperience

One (1) year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred

Six (6) months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred

Experience with GE and Siemens Equipment preferred, but not required
