Positions range from permanent clinical float roles (Full time or Part Time) to Seasonal 13‑week assignments with significantly higher base pay. Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi-automated, or automated methodologies and equipment. Performs phlebotomy procedures and assists in other laboratory activities as requested. Performs Section Head Duties when Section Head is not available. The Medical Technologist is competent in providing direct care to patients within the following age brackets: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
QualificationsFlorida State License as Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor required High school graduate or equivalent required and a BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with proper certification by the Board of Registry (ASCP) or NCA is required. Previous experience as medical technologist required. BLS through American Heart Association
