Key ResponsibilitiesInthis role, incumbents will coordinate with other health program professionals to manage a program component within a larger, significant health initiative.
These duties will be carried out across various community-based settings where
Medicaid waivered services are delivered, including shared and family-basedresidential programs, individual and group day support programs, and supportedemployment environments.
Supervisoryduties may include training, directing, and monitoring staff, particularlythose tasked with providing direct support or overseeing Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) quality assurance, care assessment, and case management. Ensuring adherence to all State and Federal rules, policies, and regulations is also a core requirement.
Additionally,this position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining positive workingpartnerships with both providers and the community. This involves spendingsignificant time in the field at HCBS locations and collaborating closely withother organizational units (OUs) that handle regulatory and oversight functions for the Department.
QualificationsMinimum or "day-one" qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and other related conditions.
- Knowledge of HCBS Medicaid Waivers.
- Knowledge and understanding of DSPD provider contracts.
- Experience with technical assistance and oversight of HCBS settings.
- Knowledge of the Medicaid Settings Rule
Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:
- QIDPqualified.
- Abilityto interact with individuals, families and providers.
