About Family Services of America

Family Services of America (FSA) is a North Carolina‑based behavioral health and foster care organization operating CARF‑accredited Therapeutic Foster Care, Family Foster Care, and outpatient behavioral health programs. We serve some of the most vulnerable populations in our community — children, families, and military‑connected adults — with a commitment to clinical excellence, ethical practice, and measurable outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is a full‑time 1099 contracted position with a 60/40 revenue split in the clinician's favor
. You focus on clinical work — we handle everything else. You set your schedule within our service hours, grow your caseload at your pace, and retain the flexibility of contracted work while benefiting from the infrastructure of a multi‑program agency.

Work Setting:
Hybrid
  • Telehealth (remote) sessions from your home office
  • In‑person sessions at our Fayetteville office
  • School‑based therapy through our active contract with Cumberland County Schools — a built‑in referral pipeline for clinicians who enjoy working with youth in their natural environment
Populations You'll Serve Children & Adolescents (Ages 4–20)
  • Trauma and complex trauma (including foster care populations)
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Disruptive behavior and other behavioral health diagnoses
Adults (Ages 21–60) — Primarily Military‑Connected
  • Active duty, veterans, military spouses, and family members
  • Combat and operational stress
  • Deployment‑related adjustment concerns
  • Trauma, depression, anxiety, and co‑occurring concerns

Given our Fort Bragg/Fort Liberty proximity, military cultural competence is strongly valued.

LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or LCAS (associate/provisional licenses are eligible for this posting)
  • Master's degree from an accredited program in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related clinical field
  • Clean licensure record and ability to pass credentialing with NC Medicaid and major commercial payers
  • Minimum 2 years post‑licensure clinical experience
  • Experience with at least two of the following populations: children with trauma, youth with behavioral disorders, or military‑connected adults
  • Reliable high‑speed internet and a private, HIPAA‑compliant workspace for telehealth
  • Comfort with electronic health record documentation and meeting note‑completion standards
Preferred:
  • Training in trauma‑focused modalities (TF‑CBT, EMDR, CPT, PCIT)
  • Experience in school‑based mental health settings
