Shift:  Days

Pay:  $40.40 - $56.56 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Under the supervision of radiologists, provides imaging protocols to direct care staff. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to optimize imaging techniques and enhance patient safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Utilizes established imaging protocols across various modalities to enhance image quality and management, while effectively minimizing radiation exposure when applicable. Adheres to regulatory standards and organizational policies to ensure compliance and promote best practices in patient safety and care.

Accesses the comprehensive protocol database to conduct radiology exams, gather patient histories, and clearly explain procedures to patients. Utilizes library to provide established standard operating procedures based on patient history and tests ordered. Provide ongoing education initiatives and leads or contributes to special projects aimed at enhancing clinical operations within the department and across the organization.

Manages scheduling and communication by utilizing decision trees for patient scheduling and resolving scheduling issues. Effectively communicates using secure communication tools.

Actively participates in reviewing and developing policies and guidelines to ensure best practices are followed. Develops and implements patient safety documentation and forms. Identifies opportunities for performance improvement and makes recommendations to enhance the overall safety and quality of care.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. 5 years of related experience, involving exam protocols, quality imaging control, and scheduling templates.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
