Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Patient Support Representative to provide exceptional service to patients by assisting with scheduling, insurance verification, account inquiries, and general healthcare support. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and messages from patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and patient demographic information.
  • Assist patients with billing questions, payment options, and account inquiries.
  • Provide information regarding healthcare services, procedures, and office policies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and insurance companies to resolve patient concerns.
  • Handle patient inquiries and complaints promptly while ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly.
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of customer service, healthcare support, medical office, or call center experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes is a plus.
  • Experience using EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
