Physical Therapy Assistant
Sentara Therapy Center Century is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity with great benefits. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with three early shifts per week between hours 7:30 am - 5 pm and two late shifts per week: 10 am - 7 pm. Saturday schedule is 8 am - 12 pm (will be required a few times a year).
The Physical Therapy Assistant performs modalities/therapeutic interventions by accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures. Participates/assists with updates in the formal plan of care to address individual patient needs. Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and families to improve patient outcomes.
Productive and efficient in daily operations.
- Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Required), obtained in a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program
- Holds a current Physical Therapist Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA)
- RQI American Heart Association (AHA)
