Employment Type:
Full-Time, Daytime position with a flexible schedule that allows for both remote and on-site opportunities, supporting operational needs while promoting work life balance.
**$1,500 annually for CME allowance**
Approved grant funding is available to support professional development opportunities, including additional and specialty certifications for the Registered Dietitian, which would help further enhance the program's clinical resources and services.
Flexibility with remote work.
Position Overview- Conduct Nutritional Assessments:
Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' nutritional status to identify needs and risks. - Develop and Implement Care Plans:
Create individualized nutrition care plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes. - Provide Education and Counseling:
Offer one-on-one and group education sessions to patients and families, focusing on nutrition-related topics and behavior change strategies. - Monitor and Evaluate Progress:
Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure effective nutrition management. - Collaborate with Healthcare Teams:
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition care into overall patient treatment plans. - Position offers remote work as dictated by need and volume.
- Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition. - Graduate Degree, preferred.
- Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Clinical Dietitian, preferred. - Licensure/Certification:
Registered Dietitian status by the commission on Dietetic Registration, required. - Licensed Dietitian in appropriate state, required.
- Additional Skills (required):
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge, ability and skills to support patient education and patient engagement in self-care management to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific or behavior needs among the patients being served. - Additional Skills (preferred):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to relay information to diverse audiences for one-on-one consultations, small and large group presentations; dynamic presence for media interviews, health fairs and other invited presentations/appearances.
