The Speech and Language Specialist will join our multidisciplinary team at ACFA's center in Jeddah. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders in children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and evidence-based practices.
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions.
- Monitor client progress and modify intervention plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress reports.
- Collaborate with behavior therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, educators, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate parents and caregivers on home-based communication strategies and carryover activities.
- Participate in awareness campaigns, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
- Support vocational, social communication, and functional life-skills programs for adolescents and adults with autism.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and professional development initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid professional license or registration in accordance with Saudi regulations (SCFHS registration preferred where applicable).
- Experience providing speech and language therapy services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation, clinical reporting, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, family-centered approach to care.
- Experience working in early intervention programs.
- Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
- Experience with social communication interventions.
- Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and management.
- Experience delivering parent coaching and training.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
