Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Join a traveling Physical Therapist opportunity in Kaneohe, HI, providing home health services to patients recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions. This role involves conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment and discharge plans, documenting care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Supervision of therapy assistants and use of homecare documentation systems are required.

• Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred) from an accredited program approved by APTA.
• Active Hawaii Physical Therapy license required at time of submittal.
• No exceptions.
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of home health physical therapy experience required.
• Experience with Homecare Home Base and OASIS required.
• BLS (AHA) or CPR certification required.
• Productivity expectation: 25 points per week.
• Travel experience preferred.

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Previous travel contract experience.

• Shift Name:
  Days.
• 40 hours guaranteed.
• No weekends required.
• Candidates must be willing to perform required travel clinician duties; mileage reimbursed at $0.43 per mile.

Provide home-based physical therapy focused on restoring and improving patients‘ physical, social, and mental function. Complete thorough evaluations, implement evidence-based treatment protocols, and ensure accurate documentation within established deadlines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to individualized care and discharge planning. Supervise therapy assistants as assigned.

Kaneohe is located on the windward side of Oahu, offering proximity to Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden and Kaneohe Bay.

The area is approximately 20-30 minutes from downtown Honolulu and 10-20 minutes to popular hiking trails such as the Likelike Trail and the Pali Lookout.
