Purpose of Position

The University of North Dakota (UND) Physician Assistant (PA) Program is a nationally recognized, continuously accredited program and the only PA program in North Dakota. Grounded in a mission to improve access to high-quality healthcare, the program prepares practice-ready physician assistants who excel in team-based care, with a strong emphasis on serving rural and underserved populations. Through a commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and community engagement, the program develops clinicians equipped to meet evolving healthcare needs.

The 24-month Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program features a rigorous, competency-based curriculum that integrates hybrid didactic instruction with early and sustained clinical experiences. Students engage in a dynamic blend of online and on-campus learning, followed by immersive clinical training across diverse practice settings. With a strong focus on primary care, clinical reasoning, and professional development, graduates emerge as highly skilled, adaptable providers prepared to deliver patient-centered care across a wide range of healthcare environments.
