Coney Island Homecare in Billings, MT is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Hospice DME Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you'll help ensure that patients receiving end-of-life care have the durable medical equipment they need - right when they need it. • Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and retrieval of durable medical equipment (DME) for hospice patients
• Serve as the primary liaison between hospice care teams, DME vendors, and patients' families
• Ensure timely equipment setup and proper functioning in patient homes or care facilities
• Maintain accurate records of equipment orders, deliveries, clean and soiled inventories, and returns in compliance with hospice regulations
• Monitor and manage DME inventory levels and vendor relationships
• Complete all DME cleaning procedures in accordance with the CMS regulations and Conditions of Participation for Hospice
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and physicians to assess and fulfill evolving patient equipment needs
• Resolve equipment issues or concerns quickly and compassionately to minimize patient discomfort

• Prior experience in hospice care, home health, or DME coordination strongly preferred
• Familiarity with durable medical equipment, supplies, and hospice care regulations
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and DME ordering systems
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with sensitivity to end-of-life care needs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required
• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes
