Responsibilities- Perform imaging at PRL:
- Operate imaging equipment independently, focusing on MRI.
- Conduct imaging exams such as cardiac, vascular, brain, and spine.
- Perform basic image analysis, including report creation with anatomical and functional measurements.
- Monitor patient care in the designated imaging department.
- Support animal and human cadaver studies.
- Monitor and control quality assurance for imaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot imaging issues, equipment, and procedure-related problems.
- Continuously evaluate and improve image collection processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with sponsors to create imaging plans and protocols for study execution.
- Serve as an imaging expert within MRI modality:
- Perform complex image analysis and interpretation, such as infarct analysis and image reconstruction.
- Train and advise new employees/contractors on routine imaging protocols and specialized studies.
- Act as the point of contact for billing questions, time availability, and general inquiries related to imaging equipment.
- Proactively assess upcoming resource needs, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to ensure customer needs are met and make recommendations to PRL leadership.
- Other duties may include:
- Support PRL's compliance with radiation regulations.
- Operate X-ray or fluoroscopy equipment.
- Support human cadaver programs.
- Associate's degree program in radiologic technology or graduation from an approved program with a specific focus on MRI imaging modality.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing MRI scans.
- This position requires onsite presence at PRL Coon Rapids for scanning, with some remote work for training and report generation.
- The role may involve working as needed or on an ad hoc basis, potentially as low as 50-60 hours per year depending on sponsor demand.
