Senior Coding Educator
Report to the Manager, Coding Education.
Responsibilities- Responsible for creating and executing the risk adjustment strategy for each provider group.
- Analyze data and reporting and provide educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care, documentation and coding improvements.
- Collaborate with relationship owners and HQRI.
- Monitor and develop strategy with Coding Educator and leader, tailor provider group webinars and discussions based on various MRA topics.
- Create compliant PowerPoint presentations tailored to group strategy.
- AAPC CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification.
- 2 or more years of medical record review knowledge.
- Familiar with coding guidelines (e.g., ICD‑9/ICD‑10).
- Reside in Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana or Mississippi.
- Analyzing data to drive process improvement.
- Microsoft Word (creating documents) and Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
- PowerPoint (creating and presenting).
- Experience with public speaking/presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Certified Risk Coder (CRC).
- Experience interacting with healthcare providers.
- Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge.
- Analyzing data to build unique education strategies in Power BI.
Remote position with up to 35% travel to surrounding provider offices; quarterly in‑person meetings. Occasionally required to travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.
Employees must provide reliable Internet service meeting a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps. A dedicated, interruption‑free workspace is required to protect PHI/HIPAA information.
Standard Hours40 hours per week.
Pay Range$71,100 – $97,800 per year. The position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company/individual performance.
