Company Overview

At Better Life Partners, we provide what it takes to heal from addiction. Wherever. Whenever.

By combining virtual and in-person counseling, community support, and access to life‑saving medication, we help people move beyond addiction to find belonging, love, and purpose.

The role

The Senior Credentialing Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing provider credentialing, licensure, roster maintenance, and health plan enrollment. Reporting to the VP of Revenue Cycle Management, this role leads credentialing support staff and ensures providers are fully credentialed, enrolled with payers, and compliant with licensing requirements. The position also ensures accurate and timely entry of provider data into the EMR and billing systems, supporting operational efficiency and revenue cycle accuracy.

Unless otherwise specified, this position is remote (work from home). Candidates must reside in one of the following states:
Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.

What you will do
  • Credentialing, Licensure, and Roster Maintenance
  • Lead and supervise credentialing support staff, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely processing of credentialing and enrollment tasks
  • Oversee provider credentialing, licensure, and internal enrollment with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial Plans
  • Enter, update, and maintain provider data in the EMR and billing systems to ensure accurate records for credentialing, billing, and operational purposes
  • Maintain provider rosters, monitor license and certification renewals, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
  • Resolve credentialing and licensure issues, escalating potential delays to leadership as needed
  • Facilitate multi‑state licensure and DEA registrations, ensuring smooth onboarding and cross‑state compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for providers, clinical leadership, and state licensing boards regarding credentialing and enrollment matters
You are a good fit if you have
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in provider credentialing, licensing, and health plan enrollment, preferably in a behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of multi‑state licensing requirements and credentialing best practices
  • Proven experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • Experience entering and maintaining provider data in EMR and billing systems
  • Highly detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across remote teams
It will also be great if you have
  • CPCS Certification
  • Multi‑state licensing experience in NH, VT, ME, NC and MA
  • Hands‑on experience with internal provider enrollment platforms such as Verifiable
