Job Description

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Who We Are

At the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, we’ve spent over 60 years championing the rights, dignity, and potential of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our programs uplift individuals of all ages—at home, in the classroom, and in the community—and we’re just getting started.

About the Role

As a Behavior Therapist, you'll work one-on-one with children in their homes and communities to bring behavior support plans to life. Under the guidance of a Behavior Analyst and Lead Therapist, you’ll implement individualized programs, collect and manage data, and support progress toward goals. Your impact will be hands-on, meaningful, and deeply appreciated by the families you support.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver individualized behavior support services at home and in the community
  • Follow treatment plans and instructional strategies created by the clinical team
  • Collect and manage behavioral data—yes, we love a good graph!
  • Maintain strong communication with families, therapists, and supervisors
  • Assist with skill-building around self-care, safety, and independence
  • Be an engaged team member—attend trainings, meetings, and contribute ideas
  • Support families in navigating day-to-day challenges with compassion and professionalism

What You Bring

  • High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with children in any setting (teaching, caregiving, tutoring—all welcome!)
  • A valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and current auto insurance
  • Comfort working in various environments—home, community, sometimes on the move
  • A flexible, teachable attitude and a team-player mindset

Why Join Us

  • Mission-driven culture that values people first
  • Robust paid time off to support work-life balance
  • Paid holidays
  • Low-cost medical, dental & vision insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities
  • Paid training and certification programs
  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer match
  • Wellness incentives and employee referral bonuses

Be Part of Something Bigger.
