Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

All Care Wellness is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for our New Bedford clinic. Currently we have openings for both Full Time
, Part Time and Remote positions. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting intakes and assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, aftercare, and a minimum of 2 years work experience in the chemical dependency field and a masters degree. In order to succeed in our fast‑paced environment, the candidate will be motivated and a self-starter. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, our counselors are ultimately responsible for providing individual and group therapy to patients suffering from substance abuse disorder.

• Evaluate patients mental and physical health, addiction, or problematic behavior and assess their readiness for treatment
• Utilize various therapeutic models and theories to understand and plan intervention strategies for patients
• Complete screening, intakes, assessments, treatment plans and discharge summary as needed throughout course of patient care
• Monitor patient progress and properly maintain patient records in our electronic medical record system
• Develop, recommend, and review treatment goals and plans with patients and their families
• Assist patients in developing skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior
• Work with patients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery
• Collaborate with other community agencies as necessary for optimal patient care
• Attend monthly multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss progress and/or barriers to patient care
• Use a combination of individual and group counseling sessions to help patients and observe their attitudes and readiness to accept help and guidance.
• Educate patients about community-based organizations such as Alcoholics Anonymous and social and employment services that may help restore them to productive roles in the community.
• Maintain case histories and progress reports. Modify treatment programs based on observation.
• Assist patients with coping with family problems and recommend appropriate social services as support for the entire family
