Remote Position
- No travel to site | 40-hour work week, manager will work with candidate on shifts | Candidates cannot work other contracts during assignment.
Must have: 2 Years of Ortho
- Coding Experience, Must be available during working hours to communicate with the team and Proficient in Excel for Data Entry.
Nice to have: EPIC EMR experience

Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Basic ICD 10 training and anatomy and physiology.
- Demonstrated PC and Software proficiency.
- Must be able to score 80% or above on the outpatient coding exam.
Job Summary:
The Coder I Specialist codes ER's and/or outpatients records.
Job Responsibilities:
- Codes ER's and/or outpatients.
- Works CCI/medical necessity edits as needed.
- Monitors unbilled for ER's/outpatients ensuring all accounts are coded on a day-to-day basis.
- Maintains quality equal to or greater than 95%.
- Maintains productivity equal to or greater than 95%.
- Completes continuing education as required.
- Decision Making:
Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.
- Working Relationships:
Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
- Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
- Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
Required
