Under the direction of a health care provider, Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well‑being of our patients.

The Digestive Health Center Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for providing pre‑procedure instructions to patients, with the majority of the role focused on telephone communication and patient outreach. This position plays a key role in preparing patients for upcoming procedures and ensuring they have the information for a safe and successful experience. Following completion of orientation, this position is eligible for a hybrid/remote work arrangement.

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) – Certificate, Diploma or Associate’s Degree as applicable – OR – certified or registered as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, EMT‑B, EMT‑I, or LPN.

• Certified or registered through one of the following:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants
  • American Medical Technologists
  • National Health career Association
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
  • LPN licensure within state of practice.
• Basic Life Support certification

• Computer data entry experience
