Baton Rouge Area Live-In Caregiver

As a Live‑In caregiver, you’ll provide essential non‑medical assistance to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

• This position is for clients who live in the greater Baton Rouge area (not Hammond) and requires commuting to the client's home during "on" weeks. The caregiver will stay a week at a time during their on weeks.
• This role is a Live‑In caregiver, where you will live in a client's home for 7 days at a time.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for clients.
• Foster meaningful connections with clients by engaging in conversation and companionship.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.

  At least 3 years of verified professional experience working with the elderly.
• Background Check: A clean criminal background record is required.
• References:
  Provide a minimum of 2 recent professional references (not friends or family).
• Driver’s License or State  driver’s license or state‑issued .

• Shifts structured as 7 days on, 7 days off – rotating. Caregivers must be able to stay the full 7 days for weeks they are working, except in limited situations.
• Typical schedule of 8–12.5 hours of work, 1.5 hours of uninterrupted meal time, and eight hours of non‑working, unpaid sleep time every workday. Hours may vary.
• Caregivers have a private room to sleep in and are available to assist the client overnight if needed (any worked time would be paid) while receiving adequate sleep time.
• Clients commonly allow caregivers a few hours of personal time per day while remaining in the home and still available to assist a client if needed.

• Compensation:
  Starts at $185 per day plus meals.
