Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at our Proprium Specialty Pharmacy in Chesapeake, VA. $5,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified Candidates!

Full Time (40 hours/week) Shift: Day Shift (8AM-5PM) Occasional Saturdays The Specialty Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Learn more about the Proprium Specialty Pharmacy here:  Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
