General: Responsible for performing all tasks relative to institutional communications with the patient/client and referral sources within the designated accounts.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Acts as the dedicated point of contact to designated referrals.
- Manages electronic referrals received, ensuring timely responses and that all required information and documentation are obtained to facilitate accurate and efficient referral processing.
- Responds to questions posed by Case Managers and referral sources related to home-going equipment/supply needs, acting as a liaison between MSC and the facility staff.
- Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to patient/client questions and problems via inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Markets our services to the Case Managers and other potential referral sources within the designated facility
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/
Physical Requirements:
- One year (minimum) of progressively responsible medical customer service experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of intake implications of industry change, including but not limited to payor requirements and guidelines that drive approvals for Durable Medical Equipment preferred
- Excellent skill sets in communication, customer relations, and computer aptitude.
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a TEAM player).
