Job Description:

This position is responsible for the daily scheduling of surgical cases, answering phones for the department and other clerical duties.

Job Essentials Performs patient scheduling of OR department. Schedules all patients for procedures as ordered by the physician.

Collects the appropriate demographic and insurance information needed for billing.

Utilizes appropriate information to ensure the proper sequence of patients.

Tracks charges of OR time, supplies,medications,and equipment used and coordinates special requests as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications Type 60 wpm.

Working knowledge of Medical terminology.

Preferred Qualification Experience in medical field

Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.

-Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, including manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

-See and read computer monitors and documents.

-Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.$17.77 - $23.10
