Job Description & How to Apply Below
Drugscope 340B Pharmacy Solutions - Murray, UT (on-site, with some remote flexibility)
~20–24 hours/week | Hourly or salaried part-time, DOE | Potential to expand
About the roleDrugscope, Inc. manages the in‑house pharmacy at the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake, a 340B covered entity operating a Class A retail pharmacy serving its clinic patients. We're looking for an experienced community pharmacy leader to help run and build the program: covering pharmacist shifts when needed, developing operational infrastructure, and serving as a day‑to‑day partner to the clinic. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a small, growing program - not a desk job.
Whatyou'll do
- Provide pharmacist coverage for dispensing shifts as needed, including fill‑in for the PIC and staff pharmacist
- Develop, maintain, and train staff on SOPs, workflows, and reference tools (dispensing, inventory, controlled substances, Will Call, COB/claims)
- Support pharmacy staffing: scheduling, onboarding, training, and coverage planning
- Serve as an operational liaison to clinic providers and leadership; support formulary, prior authorization, and patient assistance workflows
- Oversee inventory and purchasing workflows (McKesson, CSOS), including receiving reconciliation and on‑hand accuracy
- Troubleshoot claims adjudication and payer issues (DAW, BIN/PCN rejects, Medicaid FFS billing)
- Support 340B program integrity: eligible‑patient documentation, inventory separation, and audit readiness, in coordination with the 340B compliance lead
- Contribute to P&T Committee materials and formulary management
- Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, patient experience, and financial performance
- PharmD or BS Pharm; active Utah pharmacist license in good standing (or eligible for licensure by reciprocity)
- 3+ years community/retail pharmacy experience, including 1+ years in a management or PIC role
- Working knowledge of pharmacy management systems, third‑party billing, and controlled substance regulations
- Strong organizational and written communication skills; comfortable building SOPs and training materials
- Able to work independently in a small‑team, build‑it‑as‑we‑go environment
- 340B program experience (covered entity, contract pharmacy, or TPA) - strongly preferred
- Pioneer Rx experience
- Experience with Utah Medicaid, tribal/IHS/urban Indian health, or FQHC pharmacy settings
- Experience launching or turning around a pharmacy
- Competitive hourly or part‑time salary, commensurate with experience
- Flexible schedule built around clinic pharmacy hours; some remote work for SOP/admin tasks
- Opportunity to grow into a larger role as the program scales
