This position will serve Manassas, Burke, and Century locations (and other locations as needed). This will be a hybrid work from home as well as some weeks where employee reports to one location that week (Example:
First week of the month employee reports to Manassas, second week of the month employee reports to Burke) for a couple of days.

Responsible for the assessment and nutritional management of acute and chronic disease in the outpatient setting. May include individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition, community outreach, public education and scheduling. Develops and/or implements a comprehensive care plan based on assessment and evaluation of patient/caregiver needs.
Education- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Master's Degree in Nutrition
- If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.
- BLS is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Verification statements required for those candidates awaiting RD credentialing.
- Nutrition assessment of a wide variety of acute and chronic disease states, individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition.
- Serves as a Sentara representative for health fairs, media outreach, and community presentations.
- Communicates and collaborates with providers and other members of the healthcare team for referrals, clinical diagnostic data, weekly rounds and any other patient care meetings as needed.
