The Insurance Case Manager Lead acts as a support to the Insurance Case Management team by teaching training and developing staff members.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Experience/

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of medical insurance case management experience required or equivalent competency.
• Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word,Excel).
• Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
• Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion.

• Serves as a resource to Insurance Case Managers by teaching, training, and developing fellow teammates.
• Assist in training new staff members. Participates in the orientation new staff members.
• Assist the department Supervisor in managing workflow of the team members, running daily weekly, monthly reports
• Provides timely acceptance and completion of new orders, monthly insurance verifications and authorization recertifications for existing patients. Understands payor coverage principles and requirements for denial letters.
• Performs all other duties, special projects and additional tasks as assigned.
• Communicates with peers, supervisors, and other employees in a non-threatening manner. Demonstrates ability to maintain calm under pressure to cope with changing environment
• Takes initiative to present ideas and suggestions to leadership.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking skills and servant leadership.
• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in medical practices through continuing education, staff meetings, and workshops, and home study.
• Assist the department Supervisor in managing workflow of the team members, running daily weekly, monthly reports.
