We are seeking an Experienced QMHP forourEmergency Services Program!
Hours:
4:00 pm to Midnight Responsibilities & Duties for Experienced QMHP:
- Provide direct services in the following areas of concentration:
- Prescreening assessments for individuals requiring review for psychiatric hospitalization or admission to a crisis stabilization center
- Assist Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer with individuals requiring review for psychiatric hospitalization and crisis stabilization
- Face-to-face crisis stabilization assessments and treatment for individuals requiring review for home-based crisis services.
- Assist in facilitating referrals for individuals in need of medical detox program
- Crisis consultation to significant others
- Provide other secondary direct services in these approaches:
- Case management.
- Supportive individual counseling
- Family support counseling and education regarding mental illness
- Provide crisis intervention services including telephone and/or face to face crisis contact with mentally ill, intellectually disabled, substance abusers and/or dually diagnosed individuals.
- Respond to consumer’s behavioral emergencies and to aggressive behavior using agency-approved techniques.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field or related field.
- One (1) year clinical experience in a mental health/substance abuse facility or similar setting.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record at the time of employment and continuously, thereafter.
