Invitae, part of Labcorp, is seeking a US remote basted Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) to join their Clinical Consultation team!

* Work Schedule:

** Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm eastern time zone.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Work with the lab Genetic Counselor team to support clients that order testing performed at Invitae

+ Respond to telephone and email inquiries from Invitae/Labcorp clients, health care providers, and patients (75% of the time is spent on the phone)

+ Review orders for clinical appropriateness and perform outreach as necessary

+ Contact clients to obtain pertinent clinical information and communicates with clients throughout the testing process

+ Participate in or take leadership of particular operations and development projects as required

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + Bachelors degree in a biological life science

*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + 1 or more years experience working as a Genetic Counselor Assistant

+ 1 or more years experience working in a clinical genetics testing laboratory with next-generation sequencing

+ 1 or more years customer service experience

+ 1 or more years experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)

** Additional Job Standards:*
* + Familiarity with genetic concepts

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

+ Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively

+ Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly

+ Excellent project management skills

+ Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems and make recommendations

* All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data
