Director, Enterprise Professional Coding

As the Director of Enterprise Professional Coding, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a large multi-specialty faculty practice organization while partnering directly with physician leaders, academic department chairs, compliance professionals, and revenue cycle stakeholders.

* This leadership position is responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, and continuous improvement of professional coding, documentation auditing, compliance, and provider education programs across a large academic medical center. You will lead an established team of coding and education leaders while helping shape the future of enterprise coding operations.

In this role, you will:

+ Lead professional coding operations across multiple specialties and academic practice settings.

+ Oversee Coding Managers, an Education Manager, and their respective teams.

+ Partner with faculty physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), residents, fellows, and clinical leaders to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.

+ Drive key performance indicators including coding accuracy, productivity, denial reduction, charge lag, and revenue cycle performance.

+ Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on coding regulations, compliance, operational performance, and industry best practices.

+ Oversee compliance programs, coding audits, education initiatives, and corrective action planning.

+ Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Compliance, Clinical Documentation Improvement, IT, and physician practice leadership to achieve enterprise goals.

+ Utilize data, technology, and process improvement strategies to optimize performance and enhance service delivery.
