Position: Centralized Remote CT Tech - Days

This position sits onsite at the Patient Logistics Center in Tamarac, Florida.

This is a day shift position, 7am-7pm. 3 (12) hour shifts per week. Rotating weekends.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist – Remote Imaging works within the Patient Logistics Center (PLC) and is responsible for remotely operating Computed Tomography (CT) imaging equipment in collaboration with on-site facility staff. The technologist performs a variety of CT imaging procedures used to diagnose medical conditions while ensuring patient safety, image quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow.

Using remote imaging technology, the CT Technologist remotely controls CT scan acquisition, monitors image quality, optimizes scanning parameters, and supports examination completion according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and established standards of care. The technologist collaborates closely with on-site personnel to ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, contrast administration, and exam completion.

What you will do in this role:

  • Remotely operates CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic examinations according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and established imaging standards.

  • Applies ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles and radiation safety practices at all times.

  • Verifies examination orders and confirms exam appropriateness prior to initiating procedures.

  • Monitors image acquisition in real time and modifies protocols as clinically indicated.

  • Performs image review and quality assessment to ensure diagnostic adequacy before exam completion.

  • Provides remote guidance regarding patient positioning, protocol selection, scanning workflow, and image acquisition.

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with on-site teams to ensure safe and efficient examination completion.

  • Supports safe contrast-enhanced examinations by verifying applicable patient screening information and collaborating with on-site staff responsible for contrast administration.

  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of radiation safety standards and CT quality assurance processes.

  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and collaboration in all interactions.

  • Assists with training, onboarding, and mentoring of staff as assigned.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient care requirements for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

What requirements you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Completion of advanced CT education or structured CT training program.

  • One (1) year of CT imaging experience, required.

  • Experience utilizing remote imaging technologies or tele-imaging workflows, preferred.

  • Current State Radiologic Technologist License, as applicable.

  • ARRT (R) certification.

  • ARRT (CT) certification.

  • Knowledge of CT imaging principles, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA standards.

  • Knowledge of contrast administration screening requirements and CT imaging protocols.

  • Proficiency with CT imaging systems and remote imaging technologies.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to assess image quality and optimize scanning parameters.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote and on-site teams.

  • Basic computer proficiency and technology troubleshooting skills.
